E-mail Tracing is the ability to trace the path an e-mail took from it's origin to it's destination.
According to the Radicati Group, 651 million people worldwide now use e-mail regularly. E-mail is even surpassing the
old stand-by - the telephone. Most people feel a general sense of anonymity when communicating via e-mail. This makes
it very convenient to use e-mail for conducting secretive activities such as extramarital affairs, scamming the
elderly, hostile company takeovers, and a host of other under-the-table dealings. This same sense of anonymity also
makes it convenient to anonymously spread lies about someone or allow a potentially dangerous individual to harass your
clients via e-mail. In most cases, simply uncloaking the individual is enough to bring a quick resolution to the
problem. But if litigation is the only way to protect your client, then you need to be able to trace where the
e-mail is coming from.
SGC Computer Forensics, LLC
can trace those e-mails and let you know where they originate from. We have an extensive library of software
investigating tools that allow us to trace e-mail back to the source, and in some cases back to the actual individual
who sent them.
